Summary:

The primary purpose of the job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Food Services departments, at McKinley Health Center and Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor, in accordance with established food services standards, policies, procedures, and practices of this facility and requirements of current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility and as may be directed by the Administrator to assure that quality nutritional services are provided in a daily basis and that the dietary department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Be a graduate of an accredited course in dietetic training; Must provide documentation of registry/certificate upon application for position. High School Diploma Previous long term care experience working with Geriatric Food Service. Knowledge of basic sanitation practices. Minimum 2 years in manager capacity in health care setting. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
