This position is responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and coordinating inventory control. Responsibilities Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow. Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Train new kitchen staff on procedures, safety protocols, and best practices. Follow food safety regulations, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, and ensuring proper storage of food Clean and sanitize work areas, dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and keeping the kitchen stocked Follow school and local regulations, maintaining accurate records of meal quantities, and report discrepancies Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient food service Assist with special events or catering, and preparing items for the next day Other duties as assigned Skills Experience in kitchen management or supervisory roles. Knowledge of inventory management and control processes. Proficient in food handling techniques to ensure safety and hygiene. Familiarity with event coordination. Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team in a fast-paced environment. A background in hospitality is preferred, enhancing guest satisfaction through quality service.
