The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and wine industry, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operational flow. As Wine Director, you will play a critical role in enhancing the guest experience while managing staff and maintaining high standards of food safety and service. As Wine Director you will oversee all wine purchasing, list management, staff training and tasting. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality service. Train, mentor, and manage staff to uphold company standards. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly. Implement upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Coordinate catering events and manage banquet services as needed. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area. Meet with wine representative and shape our offerings. Manage wine program inventory of over five hundred labels. Host staff trainings and tastings. Recommend wines to guests and offer pairing suggestions. Qualifications 2+ years in management experience wine cellar organziation experience Hands-on Leadership Detail Focused Skilled in leading and developing one’ s team Effective and clear communication skills Accountability Mentoring and Development WSET Level 1 preferred Join our team where your leadership skills will contribute to creating memorable experiences for our guests while fostering a positive work environment for our staff.
