Dietary Director 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars North Charleston, SC 29418 We are seeking a Dining Services Director to join our Team! We are looking for an individual who enjoys being with seniors and is responsible, reliable and takes pride in the work they do! Responsibilities will include Cultivating a weekly managing other kitchen staff, and working alongside the other Directors to provide our seniors with an amazing overall experience! The Dining Services Director will Direct food service operations within the community including all food preparation, dining room operations and dining delivery services. Purchases all food and manages inventory ensuring effective cost controls and vendor service and quality. Complies with all federal, state and local regulations to ensure sanitary and safe operations. Cater events as requested by residents or staff. Hires, trains and manages all staff for the kitchen & dining room. Ensures that team maintains a safe and sanitary environment and provide a caring and pleasurable dining experience for the residents. Assesses and determines the desires and preferences of the residents regarding food selection and presentation through daily contact with residents. Ensures preferences are incorporated into the menu and events. Understands the dietary needs of residents and coordinates with nursing staff, and care staff to ensure proper selection, preparation and delivery of meals. Places food orders from selected food vendors and ensures a proper level of inventory to meet demand and minimize cost and waste. •Serve Safe Certification is required•
