Position Summary :
The Shift Leader supports the General Manager and provides direction to the staff ensuring a smooth daily service. You act as the manager on duty when the GM is not scheduled and assist in a variety of activities. This is an hourly full-time position (minimum 30 hours per week). This position is required to work weekdays and weekends.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
Overseeing all staff duties before, during and after service Assuring that display biscuits are put out on the front counter prior to service Respond to staff questions and address issues in an appropriate amount of time Assuring that customers are satisfied, and being taken care of during their wait time Managing all stations during service. Responsible for closing out the day and providing End Of Day reports that include prep needed for the following day including biscuit specials. Counting the safe and filling out a safe balancing sheet every day Counting the deposit for the day and the drawer, printing a deposit receipt Grocery Lists for specials and other daily items. Recipe preparation and proper mis en place for daily specials Provide training and guidance to all employees Food orders must be double checked upon receiving, note any discrepancies, labeled and stored away Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
High School Diploma or equivalent Food Service experience a plus Understanding how to supervise others, and resolving conflicts Impeccable attention to detail Deliver outstanding customer experience Must be extremely organized and focused Creative approach to problem solving Ability to embrace our Be A Biscuit motto Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Must work weekends
