Description Residential Nightshift Supervisor Full-Time Village Behavioral Health is a psychiatric residential treatment center that offers a full spectrum of treatment options for children and adolescents ages 10-17. A uniqueness of Village Behavioral Health is that we use nature as part of our therapeutic process. We are nestled in Louisville, TN right on the Tennessee River spread out over 65 wooded acres.
Pay Range:
Starting rate $17.50/hour plus $4.00 shift differential
Friday-Sunday Schedule:
7pm-7am with rotating weekends Purpose of the
Position:
+ Ensure the well-being and safety of patients and provide a positive, supportive and structured environment, under the direction of the Program Director + Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority. + Engage with the patient in activities and interactions designed to encourage the achievement of treatment goals + Respond to the distressed patient in a non-threatening manner and attempt to understand the source of distress by utilizing de-escalation techniques to help manage the patient’s emotions, behavior, and participation in treatment and assist with seclusion and restraint when necessary + Monitor behavioral improvements and reinforce these behaviors. Report changes and responses to treatment by communicating with the team. Significant changes are reported to the nurse immediately + Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of specific recreational or therapeutic procedures + Deliver care based on the priority of needs and available resources to the specific service population of the facility + Assist in providing guidance and direction to other staff members, including training of new staff + May provide transportation for the patient or coordinate transportation with an appropriate staff member + Adherence to work schedule and overall attendance

Paid Orientation/Training Requirements:
+ High school diploma or equivalent is required + One or more years’ experience working with the specific population of the facility is preferred + Ability to work night or day shift initially to train + Valid driver’s license required + Must pass pre-employment drug screen, 7-year criminal background screen, fingerprint screen, MVR screen, work history and reference check.
