THE OPPORTUNITY
This is the final step before taking overyour own site. You will learn to represent Capstone with ourPartners, manage day-to-day activities with associates, all thewhile ensuring that safety and productivity are always the focus.
At this stage, you may be asked to run portions of the business orperhaps an entire shift. The Site Supervisor will train new hiresand provide an environment that is team centric. This is a trainingopportunity to hone the skills necessary to run your own site. Withthe growth that Capstone has experienced over the past years, itcould be sooner than you think!
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
Negotiationof rates with common carrier representatives Running site withsafety and efficiency as priorities Writing and balancing dailybank deposits Creation of daily work logs and transmission of sameto corporate Audit of daily labor and billing reports Ensurecustomer needs are met on a daily basis. Document and resolve anycustomer service or associate issues daily. Ensure all associatesfollow Capstone policies and work rules including Capstone safetywork rules. Hold weekly safety meetings and ensure associateparticipation. Assist in managing Site and Departmental budget.
Scheduling associate shifts based on customer requirements.
Interview, hire, and train new associates. Supervise timely andaccurate data entry for all services performed. Complete dailycloseout, including cash balancing, data upload, and payroll recordadministration according to Capstone policies and standardoperating procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 years of supervisory /leadership experience in an industrial setting. Proven experiencein providing high levels of customer service to internal andexternal customers. Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouseassociates. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills(written and verbal) Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks. Ability to solveproblems and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to manage budgets; read and interpret P&L statements;and prepare related management reports. Intermediate PC skills withknowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for a long period of time. Abilityto safely operate material handling equipment as needed. Ability towork in a warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varyingtemperatures. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain or Third-Partyexperience preferred. BS/BA Degree or Associate Degree withEquivalent Experience is a plus but not required Excellentinterpersonal communication, leadership, and customer serviceskills. The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritizeassignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing,warehouse environment. Proven track record in supervision ofwarehouse employees including Hiring, Training, and Termination.
Experience with managing budgets and ability to create & maintainvarious management reports. Intermediate computer experience,ideally with Microsoft products. Excellent aptitude in estimatingrates and adding and subtracting mentally while constantlymulti-tasking.
