Tour Guide Position Available In Nassau, Florida

Tour Guide Amelia Island Board Rentals 401 South 8th Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 We are looking to hire 1 tour guide/shop attendant for our summer season. Must be a people person with an outgoing personality. Each group is different and we’re looking for someone who can easily adapt to others and offer our guests a 5-star experience.

Tours we offer:

Beach rides on electric skateboards Downtown historic tours on scooters or Arcimoto FUV’s.

• On each tour, you must take picture and videos on our GoPro of the group.

Rentals we offer:

Scooters Arcimoto FUV’s Must have open availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays. No experience necessary, we will train the right candidate. Looking for someone who is flexible with schedule changes, as we allow same-day bookings. Must be 18 and up with a valid drivers license. Shop duties include helping guests inquiring about tours/rentals, accepting payments, and answering the phone. If you’re great at social media posts, that’s a plus! Pay starts at $15 an hour

Responsibilities:

• Conduct guided tours of various locations, providing informative and engaging commentary to visitors
• Lead groups of tourists through designated routes, ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the tour
• Share interesting facts, historical information, and anecdotes about the location or attraction being visited
• Answer questions from tour participants and provide additional information as needed
• Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while interacting with visitors
• Ensure adherence to tour schedules and manage time effectively to keep tours on track
• Assist with crowd management and ensure the safety of tour participants at all times

Experience:

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse groups of people
• Proficient in public speaking, able to engage and captivate an audience
• Experience in educating or teaching others is highly desirable
• Excellent time management skills to keep tours running smoothly and on schedule
• Multilingual abilities are a plus, as it allows for better communication with international visitors
• Leadership qualities to guide and manage groups effectively
• Bilingual skills may be beneficial for communicating with non-native English speakers
• Prior experience in customer service is advantageous If you have a passion for sharing knowledge, enjoy interacting with people from different backgrounds, and have the ability to provide an entertaining and educational experience, then this role as a Tour Guide may be perfect for you.
