Each touris 2 hours max Must be in good physical condition as this position includes long periods of standing and moving. Two days a week Every Saturday and alternating between Thursday and Sun every other week Example. One week will be working Sat-Sun then next will be Thurs and Saturday. Moreshifts availible as tourist return to Asheville. We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading groups of visitors through various sites, providing engaging and informative commentary while ensuring a memorable experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for storytelling, and the ability to educate guests about the history and significance of the locations visited. Duties Lead groups of visitors on guided tours, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. Educate participants about the historical, cultural, and natural significance of tour sites. Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, adapting presentations to meet their interests and understanding. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions and concerns from guests. Manage time efficiently to ensure tours adhere to scheduled itineraries. Maintain a positive attitude and foster an engaging atmosphere throughout the tour. Collaborate with team members to enhance tour offerings and improve guest satisfaction. Qualifications Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage an audience. Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable. Proven customer service experience, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction. Strong time management skills to effectively coordinate tour schedules. Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and enthusiasm among tour participants. A passion for educating others and sharing knowledge about local history or culture.
