This position will be expected to identify strengths and weaknesses in their own performance and take necessary steps for correction. This position is expected to identify areas within the tour program warranting improvement, and create systems that address holes in current processes based on customer and supervisor feedback. This position is expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. This position will also be responsible to respond consistently and in a timely manner to external/internal customers via telephone or email to address visitor needs. Customers include but are not limited to students, faculty, staff, donors, parents, visitors, groups, high school counselors, and principals. Must be able to identify solutions with the customer in mind, and strive to meet and demonstrate a focus in delivering optimum service and showcasing the university in the most positive way at all times. Position will ensure customer service survey distribution and retrieval for all tours, and manage an 85% or higher customer service approval rate The position is responsible for recruitment, identifying, and training student workers, and volunteers to serve as tour guides, and work with Career Services to provide professional development opportunities, and receive tangible work experience. Position must lead by example, provide constructive feedback to work-study and volunteer students, and a focus on customer service, and selling the university. Position is required to manage students based on program expectations and deliverables, holding student workers at high standards in communication, job performance, professional demeanor, and rules and policies. Position will demonstrate written and verbal skills which will be utilized with multiple audiences and in a variety of situations including, motivating and informing student workers, and making public and professional presentations. Position will build, oversee and monitor campus ambassador social media platforms, create and facilitate the admissions presentation, update and maintain training material, and more. This position will work accurately and effectively within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program to input and monitor tour registrations, and edit correspondence that is emailed to parents related to campus tours as needed. Position will work with building coordinators to identify location and event location confirmations for Summer, Fall and Spring campus tours. Will coordinate and schedule tour guides to ensure adequate coverage for all tours, late arrival process, pre-tour locations, and call campaigns to confirm tours. Position will coordinate professional development opportunities for student tour guides, and will work closely with University advancement and new faculty to coordinate special tours.
