  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Leader to guide astudent project at Rochester Prep High School for the 2025-2026school year.

These projects are a vital part of our students’educational experience, offering hands-on opportunities to buildskills, deepen passions, and explore career-aligned fields. TheProject Leader will be responsible for designing and facilitatingengaging learning experiences, supporting students in completing aculminating project or showcase, and exposing students toreal-world applications through guest speakers, field trips, and/orrelevant competitions.

  • This is a part-time position that reportsto the school’s Student Talent Manager.
Responsibilities:
ProjectDesign & Facilitation:
  • Lead a group of students in a specializedproject area during “Projects,” held Tuesdays and Thursdays for onehour each day (August through June).
  • Design and implementengaging, hands-on lessons aligned to the project theme.
  • Supportstudents in developing a culminating presentation, product, orperformance.
  • Prepare approximately 2 hours per week outside ofstudent-facing time for lesson planning and coordination.
ExtensionOpportunities & Logistics:
  • Research and coordinate potentialfield trips, guest speakers, and relevant external opportunitiessuch as competitions or community events
  • Chaperone students forany off-site experiences related to the project
  • Ensure logistics,student safety, and communication protocols are followed duringoff-campus activities Specialized Experience

Video ProductionCurriculum Development & Instruction:

Design and deliver acomprehensive curriculum covering all aspects of video production,including scripting, filming, editing, audio engineering, lighting,and live broadcasting.

Hands-On Training:

Provide students withpractical experience using industry-standard equipment andsoftware, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects andmulti-camera setups.

Project-Based Learning:

Guide students throughthe creation of various projects.

Classroom Management:

Establishand maintain a safe, organized, and productive learningenvironment, ensuring students adhere to equipment usage protocolsand project timelines.

Assessment & Feedback:

Evaluate studentprogress through formative and summative assessments, providingconstructive feedback to support skill development

FamilyCommunication:
  • In partnership with the Student Talent Manager,establish clear communication with families about schedules,project updates, and any time commitments outside of the school day
  • Secure signed family permission forms as needed for participationin off-site activities Qualifications Additional Information Ourpeople are what make us Uncommon.

Compensation Project Leaders will becompensated at an hourly rate starting at $75/hour, with the finalrate determined based on content area, relevant experience,required materials, and total weekly commitment.
