Job Description Overview Weare seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Leader to guide astudent project at Rochester Prep High School for the 2025-2026school year. These projects are a vital part of our students’educational experience, offering hands-on opportunities to buildskills, deepen passions, and explore career-aligned fields. TheProject Leader will be responsible for designing and facilitatingengaging learning experiences, supporting students in completing aculminating project or showcase, and exposing students toreal-world applications through guest speakers, field trips, and/orrelevant competitions. This is a part-time position that reports tothe school’s Student Talent Manager.
Responsibilities:
ProjectDesign & Facilitation:
Lead a group of students in a specializedproject area during “Projects,” held Tuesdays and Thursdays for onehour each day (August through June). Design and implement engaging,hands-on lessons aligned to the project theme. Support students indeveloping a culminating presentation, product, or performance.
Prepare approximately 2 hours per week outside of student-facingtime for lesson planning and coordination.
Extension Opportunities& Logistics:
Research and coordinate potential field trips, guestspeakers, and relevant external opportunities such as competitionsor community events Chaperone students for any off-site experiencesrelated to the project Ensure logistics, student safety, andcommunication protocols are followed during off-campus activities
Specialized Experience- Video Production Curriculum Development &Instruction:
Design and deliver a comprehensive curriculum coveringall aspects of video production, including scripting, filming,editing, audio engineering, lighting, and live broadcasting.?
Hands-On Training:
Provide students with practical experience usingindustry-standard equipment and software, such as Adobe PremierePro, After Effects and multi-camera setups.?
Project-BasedLearning:
Guide students through the creation of various projects.
Classroom Management:
Establish and maintain a safe, organized, andproductive learning environment, ensuring students adhere toequipment usage protocols and project timelines.?
Assessment &Feedback:
Evaluate student progress through formative and summativeassessments, providing constructive feedback to support skilldevelopment
Family Communication:
In partnership with the StudentTalent Manager, establish clear communication with families aboutschedules, project updates, and any time commitments outside of theschool day Secure signed family permission forms as needed forparticipation in off-site activities Qualifications AdditionalInformation Our people are what make us Uncommon. Compensation Project Leaderswill be compensated at an hourly rate starting at $75/hour, withthe final rate determined based on content area, relevantexperience, required materials, and total weekly commitment. If atany point during the year responsibilities are not completed infull, compensation will be adjusted accordingly.
