Job Description Position Overview:

Under supervision, performs routine security inspections of buildings and grounds to protect against trespassers and property damage and/or loss. Performs related work as required.

Responsibilities:

Makes periodic inspections tours throughout building and grounds to examine doors, windows, gates, locks and equipment.
Checks for trespassers, fires, leaks from water or steam lines, or any other causes which might result in property damage and/or loss.
Discourages loitering, prevents trespassing and maintain order.
Answers telephones.
In emergencies operates elevators Performs related work as required Minimum Qualifications
A valid New York State Security Guard License issued by the Department of State.
Satisfactory completion of a 16- hour On the Job Training Course
Additional employees in this title are required to complete an 8 hour in service training course and annually thereafter.
