Server Chen’s Buffet Atmore, AL 36502 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a keen interest in the culinary arts. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering high-quality service and ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently. Duties Greet and seat guests, presenting menus and providing detailed information about menu items. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Aloha POS system. Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Process payments, handle cash transactions, and maintain accurate cash register operations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food safety standards are met and maintained. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting up and clearing tables. Provide recommendations on food pairings and specials to enhance the dining experience. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Knowledge of culinary practices, food safety regulations, and fine dining etiquette is preferred. Experience with cash handling and operating cash registers is essential. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including sales techniques to upsell menu items effectively. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Previous experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
