Food Runner/Busser The Shed Restaurant Uncasville, CT 06382 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing outstanding service. Responsibilities Deliver food from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Assist servers by ensuring that tables are properly set and maintained throughout the dining experience. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers and managers to ensure timely service. Help with food preparation and handling as needed, adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Skills Strong background in hospitality, with experience in restaurants or hotels preferred. Knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques to ensure quality service. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and guests. Experience with catering services is a plus, particularly in banquet settings. Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order management is beneficial. A positive attitude and willingness to help others within the team.
