This includes tasks like setting tables, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring the dining area is clean and welcoming. They also assist with special dietary needs, accommodate mobility challenges, and interact with residents to enhance their dining experience.

Key responsibilities include:

Setting up and maintaining the dining area: This involves preparing tables with place settings, condiments, and ensuring cleanliness.

Taking orders and serving meals:

Servers greet residents, take their orders, and deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.

Assisting residents:

This includes helping residents with mobility issues, ensuring they have everything they need, and accommodating dietary restrictions. Cleaning and resetting the dining area: Servers clear tables, clean up spills, and reset tables for the next meal service.

Providing excellent customer service:

Servers are expected to be friendly, attentive, and responsive to residents’ needs.

Collaborating with other staff:

Servers work closely with kitchen staff, caregivers, and nursing teams to ensure a smooth and safe dining experience.

Additional duties may include:

Storing and labeling food properly. Recording meal counts. Assisting with basic food preparation. Cleaning equipment and work areas. Addressing complaints and resolving issues with a positive attitude. Assisting with inventory and supply management.
