Restaurant Manager Job Summary:

Mai-Kai Restaurant, a celebrated Polynesian-themed venue, is looking for an energetic and attentive Food Runner/Busser to join our dining team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the ambiance and efficiency of our dining service, ensuring that every guest enjoys a clean and welcoming environment.

Required Training, Experience, and Education:

Prior experience required as a food runner or busser

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to stand and move swiftly for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Clear tables promptly and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for new guests. Assist in setting up tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and other dining essentials. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including floors and surfaces. Support servers and kitchen staff in various tasks, such as refilling water glasses and delivering food to tables. Stock service stations with supplies, such as napkins, silverware, and condiments. Follow restaurant policies and procedures related to guest service and safety. Participate in pre-service meetings and attend all scheduled training sessions. Communicate effectively with team members and maintain a positive, professional demeanor. Ensure all work areas are properly sanitized and organized at the end of each shift. Run food to tables Have full menu knowledge and be able to describe dishes to the guests
