The Club at Moraya Bay offers five-star resort features, including pools, tennis courts, and two restaurants: Salt & Oak and the Driftwood Café. We are looking for a seasonal server who would thrive in a hospitality/culinary environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to members and guests while maintaining an innovative and creative environment! We are looking for Servers to join our team in the winter season ending in June, working about 20-30 hours a week for the morning and afternoon shifts.
Duties include:
Responsible for serving food and beverage items to members and guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner.
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
Follow specified procedures to set up pool and beach stations properly.
Set up the beach with chairs, umbrellas, and towels and ensure that guests are always provided with clean towels.
Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware.
Thoroughly familiar with the menus, club service standards, and procedures.
Answers questions about menu items in an informative and helpful way.
Take food and beverage orders from the members on handheld or order-taking pads and deliver food to members and guests.
Ability to utilize a Point of Sale (POS) system and properly input orders.
Ensure transmission of food orders is verified by the Kitchen once an order has been inputted into POS.
Know about coffee/tea service, beverage lists, promotions, all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages.
Experienced working in a customer-facing role.
Able to easily converse with guests.
Run food and drink orders for their tables and other staff members.
Typical shifts are 7:00 a.m.
- 3 p.m., 8:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m.
- 5:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m.
- 10:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m.
- 10:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. The specific days and hours of work will vary depending on scheduling and business level. Must be able to work all shifts. The business is open seven days per week, and weekend and holiday work will be required. Overtime may be available. On the job training not provided.
