Cashier/Food Runner Kairos Jax 4815 Sweetgrass Place, Jacksonville, FL 32224 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced food service environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and service staff. Responsibilities Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist in food preparation as needed, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods. Utilize Aloha POS system for order tracking and communication with the kitchen. Help with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests. Provide assistance to guests by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations based on their preferences. Support the team during peak hours by helping with additional tasks as required. Requirements Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is a plus. Strong math skills, including retail math, for handling transactions and managing orders efficiently. Familiarity with grocery store operations can be beneficial for understanding food handling standards. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
