Server Our gorgeous, Italian restaurant seeks friendly and upbeat servers to work variable shifts, including weekends. The ideal candidate loves making small talk with customers and is willing to learn patrons’ names in our local establishment. He or she should be willing to fill in as needed for busboys and bartenders to keep up with busy shifts. Some back-of-house assistance might be needed, such as with counting down tills and inspecting/cleaning restrooms. Duties Include:

Greet customers as soon as they walk through the door Maintain a neat, organized front-of-house environment Seat guests and take initial drink orders as needed to ensure ideal speed of service Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed Learn food and beverage menu Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section Taking customers’ food and drink orders Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
