Dietary Aide/Server Somerset at Oak Harbor 1540 Oak Harbor Boulevard, Vero Beach, FL 32967 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in our assisted Living setting. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that meet their dietary needs. This position involves working closely with the kitchen staff and dietitians to assist in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining food safety standards. Duties Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines. Ensure all food items are stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with food safety regulations. Sanitate kitchen equipment and dining areas to maintain a clean and safe environment. Help with the setup and cleanup of dining areas before and after meal service. Collaborate with nursing staff to understand residents’ dietary restrictions and preferences. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen manager. Provide support during meal times by serving food and assisting residents as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a hospital, ALF, or nursing home setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, and dietitians. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail.
