Job Summary Clears, cleans, and resets tables and booths. Maintains cleanliness of guest environment, plus cleans and stocks wares in pantry, according to company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. Job Duties /Tasks / Results/ Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner at the table Sort and stack clean/dirty glasses and silverware Set/reset tables according to Essensia restaurant standard Set up service stations and restock throughout the shift Perform cleaning and side work duties as assigned Service guests throughout guest’s dining experience Break down service stations and dining room after closing Provide a clean dining area bussing tables in an efficient, courteous and accurate manner Deposit dishes appropriately in the dish room or specified area. Pull dirty plates from tables while guests are still seated. Serve beverages promptly Stock bussing stations. Clean stations, including sweeping floor using the tools provided. Perform buffet set-up and refill if needed. Assist in Room Service if needed. Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required Be courteous Show genuine care for all co-workers and guest(s) The ability to work well in a team environment Proficient in the English language. Second language is an asset. Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Ability to work in a high pressure environment. Ability to effectively communicate with guests, co-workers and management. Ability to move throughout the dining room effectively. Ability to lift and carry approximately 30-40 pounds repeatedly. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner. Must possess Basic English reading skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to cooperate with co-workers and function in a team atmosphere. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, push, and pull when necessary. Must be able to handle more than one function at a time by being well-organized and attentive to details. Must be able to tolerate hot temperatures in the kitchen areas. Physical Demands /Requirement Most of the time spent standing, walking or there are some requirement to lift moderate weight (10-20 pounds) Work Environment/ Conditions Typically located in a comfortable area. There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, odors, extreme temperature, inclement weather, noise, or lights. While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. The team member will also come in contact with noxious and abrasive chemicals that must be handled properly to ensure the safety of the team member and others.
