The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami, located at 3300 SW 27th Ave,Miami, FL, 33133 currently has the following opportunity: Server (140027TH): Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages toguests. Set tables according to type of event and servicestandards. Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate withthe kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recookorders, and product availability. Communicate additional mealrequirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to thekitchen. Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order.
Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food courseand/or beverages. Pick-up trays and clean tables as needed toensure a clean dining area. Maintain cleanliness of work areas,china, glass, etc., throughout the day. Maintain cleanliness ofwork and guest areas by clearing, collecting and returning food andbeverage items to proper area. Complete closing duties, includingrestocking items, turning off lights, etc. Present physical andaccurate check to guest and process payment. Follow all company andsafety and security policies and procedures; report accidents,injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and completesafety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personalappearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality ofproprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome andacknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipateand address guests’ service needs, assist individuals withdisabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speakwith others using clear and professional language. Develop andmaintain positive working relationships with others, support teamto reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to theconcerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to qualityexpectations and standards. Read and visually verify information ina variety of formats (e.g., small print). Stand, sit, or walk foran extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift,carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 poundswith assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varyingsize and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eyecoordination. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces aswell as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead andbelow the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, andstooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested bySupervisors.
