The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that food and beverages are delivered promptly and efficiently from the kitchen to the dining area, enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service. Duties Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to tables in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including refilling drinks and clearing empty plates. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area by bussing tables and ensuring that all areas are tidy and organized. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise during service. Collaborate with team members to create a positive dining experience for guests, responding promptly to their needs. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food industry, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required. Familiarity with bussing techniques and cleaning procedures within a restaurant setting is advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with customers and team members. A background in catering or hotel services can be beneficial for understanding the nuances of guest expectations in various dining scenarios.
