Ice Cream Server/Cashier -Shark Bites Ice Cream Courtyard by Marriott / Springhill Suites by Marriott Amelia Island 2700 Atlantic Avenue, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing food orders and transactions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for the food industry. Your ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude will contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately. Operate the cash register and process payments. Ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service. Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Manage time effectively to handle peak hours efficiently while maintaining quality service. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to provide informed recommendations. Experience Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash registers and retail math is beneficial for managing transactions. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong time management skills are necessary for handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is an advantage but can be learned on the job. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent customer service.
