Position Summary :
The Server at Paradise Grille is responsible for providing outstanding service to guests in their assigned section of the restaurant by taking food and drink orders, delivering food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with other operational needs. This position operates in a cash-free environment with an automatic 18% gratuity added to all checks. Servers will work closely with bartenders, food runners, and bussers to ensure a seamless and efficient service experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Guest Service and Order Taking :
Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude and ensure they are seated and comfortable. Take accurate food and drink orders in your assigned section and enter them into the POS system. Recommend food and beverage options based on guest preferences, making personalized suggestions. Answer questions regarding the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Food and Beverage Delivery :
Ensure prompt delivery of food and drinks to guests in your assigned section. Double-check orders before serving to ensure accuracy. Provide attentive service, checking back with guests to ensure satisfaction and offering refills or additional items as needed. Assistance with
Food Running and Beverage Service :
Assist food runners in delivering orders to the correct tables. Help bartenders with delivering beverages when needed to ensure a smooth flow of service. Ensure all food and drinks are served in a timely and professional manner, paying attention to presentation and guest needs.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization :
Keep your assigned section clean and organized, ensuring tables are cleared of empty dishes and trash. Reset tables for the next guests quickly and efficiently, maintaining a welcoming environment at all times. Maintain cleanliness of the surrounding areas, including floors and service stations.
Cash-Free and Gratuity-Based System :
Operate in a cash-free environment, ensuring that all payments are processed electronically via the POS system. Understand that an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all checks, and communicate this to guests as necessary.
Teamwork and Communication :
Work collaboratively with other servers, bartenders, food runners, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service operations. Qualifications :
Previous experience in food service or as a server in a high-volume restaurant is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
