As our Food Runner, you will be the essential connection between our culinary team and our service staff, ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience for our esteemed Members and guests. Key Responsibilities:
Expedite Service:
Promptly and accurately transport food orders from the kitchen to designated server stations and assist in delivering dishes to tables.
Support Culinary & Service Teams:
Assist the kitchen with basic food preparation tasks (like preparing condiments) and actively support servers and bussers with various duties, including restocking, clearing, and end-of-shift cleaning.
Maintain Operational Readiness:
Ensure service areas are continuously stocked with clean glassware, silverware, and dishes. Prepare and maintain buffet lines, restocking food and supplies as needed.
Uphold Presentation & Cleanliness:
Ensure food presentation meets standards and maintain the cleanliness of trays and tray jacks.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively and communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, and bussers to ensure smooth service flow. Adhere to
Standards:
Follow all Club policies and F&B standard operating procedures, including food safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Attributes:
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred; experience in a country club setting is a plus. Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. A positive attitude, self-motivation, and the energy to be a valuable team player.
Flexible Schedule Required:
Ability to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays based on Club needs. Dedication to upholding organizational values and adapting to a dynamic work environment. Commitment to punctuality and reliability. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with units of money, weight, volume, distance). High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Will receive training in Safe Serve food handling.
