Job Overview A IRD Supervisor plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by providing attentive, friendly, and professional service to guests. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring the service team is accurately taking orders, setting tables, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their experience. This integral role provides daily supervision of the operations and team. You will work closely with the General Manager and culinary team to deliver exceptional food and service to our guests, striving to create experiences that go above and beyond. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Daytime Restaurant Supervisor is also expected to have a deep knowledge of the menu, have the ability to hold high standards for the team, address any guest inquiries, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth, accurate service. A successful supervisor is personable, efficient, and dedicated to creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest.

Key Responsibilities:
Guest Satisfaction:

Greet and warmly welcome guests. Provide exceptional guest services while working to anticipate and exceed expectations.

Food and Beverage Service:

Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, while following service standards to ensure guest satisfaction and address any concerns or additional requests.

Menu Knowledge:

Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings, to answer guest questions and make recommendations.

Area Maintenance:

Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and well-stocked, maintaining high levels of hygiene and safety. Work closely with the evening team to assist in smooth transition to later food service.

Inventory Management:

Assist management team with tracking and managing food and beverage inventory, including ordering supplies, restocking ingredients, and controlling waste.

Training/Development:

Work to hold the team to a high standard and continually strive to improve and elevate service standards.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with staff to ensure smooth and coordinated service and assist with other tasks as needed to maintain a well-functioning dining environment .

Compliance:

Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling.

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a supervisor or in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service is a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Work Environment:

Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Participates in the development and implementation of corrective action plans. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Licenses or Certificates Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.
