The Venice Yacht Club is seeking to fill all positions for work in our newly renovated kitchen. You may need sunglasses inside the kitchen since the state of the art Stainless steel equipment and work spaces are so new they SHINE. We want an enthusiastic, friendly, service orientated person who must have a passion for serving and work well as part of a team. Similar Private club experience is preferred. He or she must be able to work flexible hours and will be required to stand for long periods, bend, twist, use hands and arms continuously, lift heavy trays and memorize menus. Basic wine knowledge is essential. Maintaining a clean, neat and tidy work area is a must. Venice Yacht Club – A Very Special Place! Position Expo / Foodrunner . Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities) Prepares all required items. Prepares items that are ordered in accordance with established portions and presentation standards. Notifies sous chef of expected shortages. Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary. Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times. Sets-up, maintains and breaks down expo station. Requisitions items needed to produce menu items. Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations. Covers, dates and neatly stores all leftover products that are re-usable. Coordinates and times orders with other kitchen operations. Attends staff meetings. Assists with other duties as assigned by sous chef.
