Full Job Description Description:

Summary/Objective The Food Runner is responsible for supporting Servers in carrying beverages and meal items to designated tables. Their duties include communicating with Servers to determine their needs and carrying food items from the expediting counter to the right table. Essential Functions Deliver food orders to guests quickly and accurately Uphold sanitation and food safety principles Check-in with guests to ensure their experience is satisfactory Relay reports of guest satisfaction to management Ensure guests have all the appropriate tableware they need to properly enjoy their food Assist in setting up tables before service with appropriate utensils, napkins, and decorations Handle various impromptu requests from guests

Requirements:

Competencies and Skills Customer Focus/Attentiveness. Stress Management/Composure. Time management and organizational skills. Ability to communicate with management (including asking for clarification on tasks, policies, and procedures), fellow employees, vendors, and customers. Ability to read, count (basic math), and write to accurately complete all documentation. Basic computer skills Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run a restaurant, including ladders. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Walk and stand during the entire shift. Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, stoop and wipe. Remain stationary for long periods of time. Frequently wash hands. Be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Be able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to cut, carry and wipe. Good close and distance vision and ability to adjust focus between the two.
