The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and a strong ability to manage guest relations. As the Head Server, you will oversee the dining experience, ensuring that guests receive top-notch service while maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. This role requires a keen understanding of menu offerings, including upselling techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the serving staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Manage guest relations by providing personalized service and addressing any concerns promptly. Utilize OpenTable for reservations, table management, and guest tracking. Train new servers on restaurant protocols, including sanitation practices and fine dining etiquette. Assist in bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Process transactions accurately using a cash register and handle payments efficiently. Demonstrate strong math skills for managing tabs and processing bills. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality presentation. Experience Previous experience in a fine dining environment is preferred. Proficiency with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus. Strong customer service background with a focus on guest satisfaction. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in sales techniques related to food and beverage offerings is beneficial. Knowledge of sanitation standards and practices within the restaurant industry.
