Expo/Food Runner (Base Hourly + Tipped Position) Chica’s Cuban Cafe 215 South Woodland Boulevard, DeLand, FL 32720 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Expo/Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Expo/Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for customer service. Responsibilities Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Assist servers in ensuring that all orders are complete and meet quality standards before serving. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service. Help with food handling and preparation tasks as directed by the culinary team. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly. Assist in setting up banquet events or special functions as required. Skills Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of culinary practices, including food handling and preparation techniques. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Team player mentality with a willingness to help others, including cooks and servers.
