Server/Host Avenue Kitchen & Cocktail 587 North Avenue NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 Overview We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for the food industry. As a Host/Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring smooth operations within the restaurant. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner, adhering to food safety and handling standards. Assist with banquet services during special events, ensuring all guest needs are met. Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout the shift. Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns. Provide recommendations on menu items based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions. Skills Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food handling and safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Experience with bartending is a plus, enhancing your ability to serve beverages effectively. Familiarity with POS systems, is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
