Server:
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Settables according to type of event and service standards. Answerquestions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchenregarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, andproduct availability. Communicate additional meal requirements,allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order. Check in withguests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/orbeverages. Pick-up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure aclean dining area. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china,glass, etc., throughout the day. Maintain cleanliness of work andguest areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverageitems to proper area. Complete closing duties, including restockingitems, turning off lights, etc. Present physical and accurate checkto guest and process payment. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures;report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager;and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform andpersonal appearance are clean and professional, maintainconfidentiality of proprietary information, and protect companyassets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to companystandards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assistindividuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuineappreciation. Speak with others using clear and professionallanguage. Develop and maintain positive working relationships withothers, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respondappropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherenceto quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verifyinformation in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Stand,sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire workshift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighingless than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects inexcess of 50 pounds with assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulateobjects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills andhand-eye coordination. Move over sloping, uneven, or slipperysurfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reachoverhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling,and stooping.
