POSITION SUMMARY
: Server provides food and beverage servicetableside to residents, resident families and guests. This positionmaintains the cleanliness of the dining room, service stations,beverage machines, and all other work areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:
- Serves meals and busses tables with a warm, friendly, courteous,respectful and engaging demeanor.
- Helps Team Members andparticipates in setting up and breaking down dining room tables andwait stations prior to and following meals, ensuring that thedining room is prepared for the next meal.
- Participates in thetraining of new Team Members.
- Assists with dining service forspecial functions, private dining events, and special guests.
- Clears tables, replaces linens, sets tables, and ensures that thedining room is clean and attractive.
- Cleans equipment, furniture,appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer andsinks according to schedule.
- Keeps the environment safe, clean,and free of clutter.
- Stores and retrieves residents’ assistivedevices during mealtimes, ensuring that safety is nevercompromised.
- Participates in and attends all required in-servicetraining and education programs as scheduled.
- Other duties asassigned.

- An individual in this position will berequired to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs.
- Must be free ofdiseases that can be transmitted in the performance of jobresponsibilities during the stage of communicability unless theTeam Member can be given duties that minimize the likelihood oftransmission.
- The Team Member may be exposed to minimal tomoderate noise and exposure to blood and/or body fluids.
Also mayexperience traumatic situations including psychiatric and deceasedresidents.
TRAVEL:
No travel is expected although occasional travelmay be required for training sessions, continuing educationopportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2 years’ experience in asimilar position desired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESREQUIRED
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand Englishfluently.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance andpunctuality standards.
- Ability to use miscellaneous software andoffice equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow directions asgiven.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
