Breakfast Server Position Available In Orleans, Louisiana

Breakfast Server voco St James Hotel 330 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 We’re looking for someone who is customer service orientated and willing to be a part of a great team! The cafe is located in a boutique 84 room IHG hotel in the CBD. This position includes hourly and tips.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and timely manner
• Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide recommendations on menu items and answer any questions about the menu
• Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in with them throughout their dining experience
• Assist with food preparation and plating when needed
• Clear and clean tables after guests have finished their meals
• Handle guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and escalate to management if necessary
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow

Skills:

• Strong hospitality skills with a focus on providing excellent guest service
• Knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience using Silverware POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
• Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
• Culinary knowledge to answer questions about ingredients, dietary restrictions, etc.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
• Experience bussing tables is preferred but not required
