We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our fast-paced team in a dynamic restaurant environment at the Boston public market. You would be getting the stall ready for service or closing down to end services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and the ability to thrive in a busy setting. This role involves taking orders, serving food, handling cash transactions, and ensuring that customers have an enjoyable dining experience. Duties Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their dining experience. Getting the stall ready for service, warming up food, prepping, cleaning. Closing down the stall, putting away food, cleaning the stall. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Square POS system. Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in cash handling. Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders, Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to effectively assist customers. Qualifications Previous experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred but not required. Bilingual in Spanish is a preferred but not a requirement. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Familiarity with quick service fast food restaurant operations is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks. Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems, particularly Square POS, is advantageous. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role. Servesafe certification not required but perferred.
