Server Lucky Cheetah 11 Moulton Street, Portland, ME 04101 Lucky Cheetah is looking for part time servers with fine dining experience. With a seating capacity of 110, our restaurant aims to deliver an elevated and fun dining experience. Mixing authentic and creative menu items, showcasing the artistry and flavors of dim sum cuisine. This will be hourly plus tip position.

Job Description:

As a Server at Lucky Cheetah, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and providing attentive service to create a welcoming atmosphere. You will work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and efficient service, while also contributing to maintaining cleanliness and organization within the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders accurately. Provide menu recommendations and answer questions about menu items.

Order Management:

Enter orders into the Toast POS system promptly and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared correctly and in a timely manner.

Table Maintenance:

Monitor tables for customer needs throughout their dining experience. Clear dishes and utensils, reset tables, and ensure cleanliness.

Upselling and Promotion:

Recommend additional items, specials, and promotions to enhance the dining experience.

Payment Processing:

Present checks to customers, process payments, and handle cash transactions accurately.

Communication:

Collaborate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operation and quick resolution of customer issues or concerns.

Compliance:

Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations. Maintain a neat and presentable appearance according to company guidelines.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a server in a similar fine dining environment is preferred. Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including ingredients and preparation methods. Ability to handle high-stress situations and work well under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivering orders. Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift trays of food or drink weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
