This position supports the execution of events by ensuring professional, attentive, and timely service in accordance with the club’s high standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Set up event spaces according to banquet event orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, serviceware, and dcor. Greet members and guests with warmth and professionalism, maintaining a courteous demeanor at all times. Serve food and beverages efficiently during plated meals, buffets, and cocktail receptions. Refill water, coffee, and other beverages throughout service. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure smooth event flow. Clear plates, glassware, and utensils quickly and quietly between courses and at the end of meals. Maintain cleanliness of the event space during and after service. Assist in post-event breakdown, including resetting the room for the next function or returning items to storage. Adhere to all club policies regarding uniform, appearance, hygiene, and safety. Follow all local and state guidelines for responsible alcohol service and food handling. Qualifications Prior banquet or restaurant serving experience preferred; country club or private club experience is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to member satisfaction. Ability to work cooperatively with a team in a fast-paced environment. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Working Environment Events vary from casual member mixers to formal galas and weddings. Must be adaptable to both indoor and outdoor environments (e.g., golf outings, tented events).
