This is an advanced service position with high standards and expectations. You must have at least 5 years of upscale/semi-fine dining under your belt, be proficient in wine service, be willing to learn about (and pronounce) French food items, and bring a positive, helpful attitude and wicked sense of humor. As important, you must have open availability as we are open 7 days a week. Servers joining our team will go through multi-level training including training in expo, back-wait, and host positions as well as their server training. We believe it is important to understand and be able to execute all positions that encompass the front of house. Responsibilities Keep the tables looking great Genuinely greet the guest as you would your grandmother into your own home Guide guests through the menus Accurately take and serve orders Answer questions and make recommendations Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen staff Go out of your way to help your fellow team members, front and back Take and handle the money Let the small problems roll off your back and come to the table with potential solutions Skills Proven restaurant serving or waitering experience – minimum of 5 years Hands-on experience in handling money Attention to cleanliness and safety Patience and customer-oriented approach Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude and a sense of humor Responsible and trustworthy Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in finer dining establishment
