Host/Server Inferno Tavern 2289 St Pauls Church Road, Newton, NC 28658 Please stop by Friday 04/25 between 11am-2pm for on spot interviews & Monday 04/28 11am – 5pm Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Host/Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong commitment to customer service. As a Host/Server, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guest satisfaction, and supporting the kitchen staff. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcome and valued. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and daily specials to enhance the guest experience. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism, aiming for resolution to enhance guest relations. Support team members during busy periods by helping with various tasks as needed in both front-of-house and kitchen areas. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest interactions. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with guests and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
