The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding of dietary needs, particularly in a hospital or assisted living environment. As a Dietary aide you will play a crucial role in the dietary department, ensuring that all meals are prepared according to established standards of food safety and nutrition. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area. Collaborate with the dietary department team to provide high-quality meal service. Assist with bussing tables and serving meals as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on proper meal preparation techniques and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in meal preparation or food production, preferably in a hospital or assisted living setting. Knowledge of dietetics and special dietary needs is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen environments. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in meal preparation tasks.
