Wait Staff/Server (Rodanthe, NC) We are looking for staff for the 2025 season. Housing is available.

DESCRIPTION

Our wait staff is a team of professional servers responsible for delivering meals and drinks, providing menu recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. They work collaboratively to maintain cleanliness standards and deliver exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for welcoming seated guests, taking orders accurately, delivering orders promptly and efficiently, and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns
Collaborate with the kitchen staff and management team to ensure smooth operations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and service
Become familiar with menu to advise on food and drink choices for each customer and answer questions
Take orders and deliver them to the table deftly and accurately
Attend to the tables and guarantee compliance to cleanliness standards
Resolve any issues
Deliver checks and accept payment
Work with other staff as a team
Work diligently to achieve outstanding service quality

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Prior serving experience is preferred
Friendly and outgoing demeanor
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Knowledge of or ability to learn food safety regulations
Customer-oriented
Outstanding people skills
Patient and friendly with demonstrated experience in problem solving
Ability to be flexible and work a variety of shifts

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe
Able to carry trays or supplies weighing 10-30 lbs
