Line Server Nana Morrisons Soulfood 2908 Oak Lake Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28208 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using a point-of-sale system. Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets quality standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide change as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Assist in training new staff members as needed. Skills Previous experience in a kitchen or grocery store setting is preferred. Knowledge of culinary practices within the food industry is beneficial. Strong sales skills with an emphasis on upselling techniques. Experience in quick service fast food restaurants is an advantage. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions effectively. Proficiency in cash handling procedures to ensure accuracy in payments. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.
