POSITION SUMMARY

Server provides food and beverage service tableside to residents,resident families and guests. This position maintains thecleanliness of the dining room, service stations, beveragemachines, and all other work areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

: Servesmeals and busses tables with a warm, friendly, courteous,respectful and engaging demeanor. Helps Team Members andparticipates in setting up and breaking down dining room tables andwait stations prior to and following meals, ensuring that thedining room is prepared for the next meal. Participates in thetraining of new Team Members. Assists with dining service forspecial functions, private dining events, and special guests.

Clears tables, replaces linens, sets tables, and ensures that thedining room is clean and attractive. Cleans equipment, furniture,appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer andsinks according to schedule. Keeps the environment safe, clean, andfree of clutter. Stores and retrieves residents’ assistive devicesduring mealtimes, ensuring that safety is never compromised.

Participates in and attends all required in-service training andeducation programs as scheduled. Other duties as assigned.

Full Physical Demands, Work Environment, andExpected Hours of Work:

The physical demands described here arerepresentative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job. The TeamMember is often required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger,handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands andarms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste and/orsmell. An individual in this position will be required to lift orcarry weight up to 50 lbs. Must be free of diseases that can betransmitted in the performance of job responsibilities during thestage of communicability unless the Team Member can be given dutiesthat minimize the likelihood of transmission. The Team Member maybe exposed to minimal to moderate noise and exposure to bloodand/or body fluids. Also may experience traumatic situationsincluding psychiatric and deceased residents.

TRAVEL:

No travel isexpected although occasional travel may be required for trainingsessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations,and other company functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1-2 years’ experience in a similar position desired.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Ability to read, write, speak andunderstand English fluently. Ability to meet or exceed thecompany’s attendance and punctuality standards. Ability to usemiscellaneous software and office equipment. Ability to understandand follow directions as given. Ability to work with minimalsupervision.
