POSITION SUMMARY
: Server providesfood and beverage service tableside to residents, resident familiesand guests. This position maintains the cleanliness of the diningroom, service stations, beverage machines, and all other workareas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Serves meals and busses tables with awarm, friendly, courteous, respectful and engaging demeanor. HelpsTeam Members and participates in setting up and breaking downdining room tables and wait stations prior to and following meals,ensuring that the dining room is prepared for the next meal.
Participates in the training of new Team Members. Assists withdining service for special functions, private dining events, andspecial guests. Clears tables, replaces linens, sets tables, andensures that the dining room is clean and attractive. Cleansequipment, furniture, appliances, floors, drains, storage area,refrigerator, freezer and sinks according to schedule. Keeps theenvironment safe, clean, and free of clutter. Stores and retrievesresidents’ assistive devices during mealtimes, ensuring that safetyis never compromised. Participates in and attends all requiredin-service training and education programs as scheduled. Otherduties as assigned.

The physical demandsdescribed here are representative of those that must be met by anemployee to successfully perform the essential functions of thisjob. The Team Member is often required to stand, walk, sit, usehands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reachwith hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear,taste and/or smell. An individual in this position will be requiredto lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. Must be free of diseases thatcan be transmitted in the performance of job responsibilitiesduring the stage of communicability unless the Team Member can begiven duties that minimize the likelihood of transmission. The TeamMember may be exposed to minimal to moderate noise and exposure toblood and/or body fluids. Also may experience traumatic situationsincluding psychiatric and deceased residents.
TRAVEL:
No travel isexpected although occasional travel may be required for trainingsessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations,and other company functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years’ experience in a similar position desired.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to read, write, speak andunderstand English fluently. Ability to meet or exceed thecompany’s attendance and punctuality standards. Ability to usemiscellaneous software and office equipment. Ability to understandand follow directions as given. Ability to work with minimalsupervision.
