The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and enjoyably. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and have a keen interest in food service. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the kitchen staff and servers to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards before serving. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate timely service. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables after guests leave. Support banquet services by setting up and breaking down event spaces as required. Ensure that all food items are presented beautifully and meet the restaurant’s standards for quality and safety. Provide excellent customer service by being attentive to guest needs and responding promptly to any requests or concerns. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as it enhances efficiency during service. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A team player attitude with a willingness to help others, including cooks and servers, as needed. Knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift items up to 25 pounds as part of daily responsibilities.
