The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their food and beverages promptly and with exceptional service. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain a smooth flow of service, contributing to an outstanding dining experience. Responsibilities Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Assist servers in managing guest needs and requests throughout the dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are prepared correctly and efficiently. Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, for order tracking and communication with the kitchen. Engage with guests to provide exceptional hospitality, addressing any concerns or special requests. Support cash handling procedures when necessary, including assisting with cash register operations. Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience using cash registers. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy service periods. Excellent guest relations skills, demonstrating a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. A willingness to learn about menu items and provide helpful recommendations to guests.
