Server 460 Bistro West Orange, NJ 07052 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food industry, particularly in fine dining settings. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and expertly upselling menu items. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued. Take accurate food and beverage orders using OpenTable or other reservation systems. Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including daily specials, to assist guests in their selections. Upsell food and drink items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail and presentation standards. Assist with bussing tables to ensure a clean and inviting dining environment. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate any special requests or dietary restrictions. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to provide informed recommendations. Experience Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings. Familiarity with culinary practices and menu design is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members. Experience with sales techniques, particularly upselling, is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
