Experienced Waiter/Waitress Il Mondo Vecchio Italian Restaurant 54 Main Street, Madison, NJ 07940 Job Overview 54 Main Grille and Bar is seeking for a Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Servver you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout their visit. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor. Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems, ensuring all requests are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff. Provide recommendations for menu items and upsell specials to enhance the dining experience. Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while maintaining proper sanitation standards. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring all payments are processed correctly. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and address any issues that may arise. Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure all guests receive prompt service. Assist in training new staff members on restaurant procedures and service standards. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems is beneficial; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices is essential. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
